Political Cliches

Q) Whats the common factor between politicians and Yashraj films?
A) CLICHES!

We've seen enough, we know enough! Here I am, another angry youngster sick and tired of having to look upto jackasses to run my country. And to hear what they say over and over again is mind-numbingly stupid and irritating.

Cliche no 1:
"India's future lies in the hands of its youth"
Big boo to that! Coz the youngest politician in India is close to the average retirement age. Here, I do not want to consider the Omar Abdullahs and Rahul Gandhis coz they're just carrying the family name forward; plain successors who yet again make public statements supporting their respective families! Parties like Lok Paritran and Bharat Punarnirman Dal actually came ahead with some of the intelligent and brightest minds of the country to contest for responsibility rather than power. But who the hell cares? India's gen-next is over 60 years old. L. K. Advani is the youth who's vying the power-seat next. Why not his dad? We, in comparison are just foetuses.
Here I am, the common man, looking ahead with hopeful eyes.

Cliche no 2:
"The political system is flawed!"
Oh, don't we know that the political system is run by a myraid of saffron psychopaths and actors who are good at faking their interests towards the country just to become an irregular MP at the parliament sessions? Yes, we know that the political system is flawed! Yes, we know the 'hand' behind butchering of the 'aam aadmi'. Yes, we know that the country is going to dogs with insecure deals and a shaky economy. Yes, we know it all. These statements however fail when it comes to inspiring anybody to take up the cause. Big shots dont even alter their lifestyles to accomodate the law, let alone taxes and crimes.
Here I am, the common man, looking ahead with hopeful eyes.

Cliche no 3:
"The PM/President condemns the attacks!"
Ok! So you condemn the attacks! We all do! But is that all you can do? Condemn attacks? Can't you for once do something more? Talk about the so-called "intelligence", which despite warnings decides to ignore them. What about security or the forces? Oh wait, they're gaurding the politicians! The common man stands trampled under the heap of dismal governance.

What in the name of God are the politicians upto?
  1. Inagurating airports.
  2. Trying to view a shooting site. (Shooting here refers to both its meanings)
  3. Providing TVs and Cycles to the poor who cant afford food or a shelter over their heads.
  4. Playing Blame-games!
  5. Undergoing critical operations (keep the age in mind)
  6. Claiming the future is here. The future however is never here...thats why its called THE FUTURE.
What do we do? Where do we go from here? Does anybody have a plan? An exit strategy even?
There's people commiting suicides just to make a point and law makers turning law-breakers. Where's the professionalism in te political system? Tradition and convention can take a hike. We need change. More educated chaps to think otherwise than just loathe or run away.

We have the economics in place, we have trained professionals, experienced personnel willing to share expertise, a strong intellectual capital, sound infrastrucure, good resource options, and an attitude to think and rethink. we need a plan and we need it fast. Bring on the CEO!
